When I covered the full year results of Pro Medicus (ASX:PME), I ended by saying:
“I own shares in this company (my largest single position) and I intend to continue to hold all of them.”
Since then, the share price has moved from about $8.71 to yesterday’s close of $12.41 -- a gain of over 42% in less than two months.
As a result of this, the company now makes up over 34% of my ASX portfolio.
At current prices I would not be buying. As part of my portfolio management, I consider a 30% holding to be too large, but especially so if the stock in question is rather optimistically priced.
Therefore, I now intend to sell some of my Pro Medicus shares -- probably around 10% of my holding. After that, it will still be my largest single shareholding.
