Since about 2013 I've been more than fully invested. Lacking any capital I borrowed money, and then in 2016 I borrowed more money (and sold half my portfolio) to buy a house near the Bellinger River. That loan is worth about 70% of my portfolio. Although this kind of leverage isn't really that dangerous (since I can pay it off slowly if I choose), I prefer pay off my debts early.

Dicker Data Ltd (ASX:DDR) FY 2018 Results: Record Revenue

IT distributor Dicker Data released a typically solid set of full-year results yesterday. Revenue rose 14.4% to $1.5 billion, net profit before tax was up 16% to $46.2 million and NPAT improved 20.5% to $32.5 million. A one-off tax credit assisted the NPAT result. You can see below how the improved profit was ultimately a product of record half-year revenue.

Appen (ASX: APX) listed in early January 2015 at a $0.50 per share IPO price. Since that time, the company has been one of the best performers on the ASX, becoming a ~47 bagger. This remarkable run has been fuelled by significant top and bottom line growth which has been supercharged by a couple of canny acquisitions and a long history of earnings upgrades.
